What is ACTS?
The Association for Sustainable Tech Communities (ACTS) is a catalyst for ecosystems and change, operating as a collaboration and development hub that connects people, communities, startups, NGOs and institutions in an ecosystem that turns promising ideas into sustainable projects.
ACTS lowers the barriers between idea and impact, offering the organisational framework, expertise and resources early-stage initiatives need in order to grow — even when they do not yet have a legal entity, funding or the operational capacity to run independently.
At the same time, the association creates a collaboration ecosystem where local communities and partner NGOs can start, coordinate and grow thematic verticals of the How About ecosystem, or their own initiatives, adapted to the real needs of the communities they serve.
We believe impact does not scale through centralisation, but through collaboration.

2023
IT BBQ Fest and authentic contexts
The most valuable connections are not built only at conferences, but in communities that create authentic contexts for collaboration.

Organic growth, and a recurring blocker
These initiatives grew, and we met more and more ideas worth becoming projects. Many stopped before they started — not for lack of value, but for lack of a framework, resources and support.
